Biography
John Highberger has been acting since 1989. He moved to Chicago from his native Pittsburgh in late 2000 to pursue his passion in a larger market, and as of June 2017, he resides in Van Nuys, CA.
He took acting lessons at the Pittsburgh Playhouse (affiliated with Point Park University) for three years before striking out into the wonderful world of auditioning and performing!
Recently, he has added Improv, Stand Up, Film and On Camera classes to his roster. He has also performed in two original puppet shows (a TUTA Theatre lab and a Chicago Mammals Theatre late-night show).
Whether it is a character that has been done many times, or a role from an original work, he loves to bring that person to life and share it with an audience.
Currently, he is pursuing more film work, but continues to audition for theatrical productions as well. He likes the balance between being able to say, "CUT" and the thrill of a live performance. They require different skill sets and he embraces the challenges that each may bring.

"The protaganist, Dr. Jekyll (John Highberger), is a stereotypical repressed Victorian who unleashes his feminine self in the form of Mrs. Hyde (Tony _) whom he outwardly despises and subconsciously longs to embrace. The two actors do a good job of being each other's twisted image."
